Coco
Living in Foster
Coco is a 1.5-year-old sweetheart who’s had a rough start in life, so she’s
currently convinced that just about everything is a little intimidating. New
sights, sounds, and objects? Overwhelming. Other dogs? Definitely overwhelming
at first. But give her time, patience, and love, and Coco transforms into a
goofy, playful, snuggly tornado of joy.
Her best qualities:
• Professional Snuggler – will happily curl up on your lap and soak in
all the love.
• Zoomie Queen – when she’s comfortable, she’ll race around like she’s
training for the doggy Olympics.
• Tug-of-War Enthusiast – loves roughhousing once she knows you’re a
friend.
• Dinner Etiquette Expert – sits and waits patiently for the “OK”
before eating.
• Dog Socialite-in-Training – Coco can be reactive to other dogs at
first, but with a slow, careful introduction, she’s become great friends with
Kilo and loves playdates with him.
Things she’s working on:
• Easily startled by new things — patience, gentle reassurance, and
high-value treats go a long way.
• Still building confidence, so she needs someone who can show her how
to be brave using positive reinforcement.
• Cats: she’s curious but unsure, so slow introductions are necessary.
• Small children: a home without little ones is best, as Coco can get
startled easily.
Her ideal human:
• Patient, understanding, and ready to celebrate small wins.
• Comfortable with silly zoomies, tug sessions, snuggle breaks, and
helping her navigate a spooky world.
• Equipped with squeaky toys, high-value treats, and a sense of humor
about her “startled-by-everything” personality.
Coco doesn’t need a perfect home, she just needs someone willing to go slow, build her confidence, and love her for the sweet, quirky, jumpy, snuggle-loving goofball she is!
